What if I have a lot of oil spots?
Most oil spots are not an issue for us. There are ways of handling oil if the saturation is too heavy. Give us a call and we can help you.
Are there a lot of harsh fumes involved with resurfacing a garage floor?
No. The products we use are very low in VOCcontent and any odors are short lived if ventilated.
Is there a lot of dust?
Actually yes. However, it is controlled because we use a vacuum system that is hooked to the grinder during the grinding process.
How long does it take to finish the garage floor?
Usually 1 day depending on the size of your garage, temperature, humidity and how many repairs there are.
What do I do about all my stuff?
We ask that you remove smaller items such as shoes, golf clubs, bins, bikes etc. The larger items like refrigerators, cabinets and work benches we will move that morning before we begin working on the floor. We will cover these items with a tarp if it appears that it will rain. The next day we come back and put the heavy items back in for you.
How long before I can walk or drive on it?
You can put stuff back the same day. Walk on time is about an hour and drive on time is about 24 hours or over night. This will only vary in really cold conditions.
Is it slippery?
Anything in the right conditions can be slippery, but in normal conditions (wet with no oil or soap) the chips give a non slip surface.
Will you see the cracks or joints?
No. We fill cracks, holes and joints before coating the floor.
How do I clean it?
A scrub brush or mop with some dish liquid or 409 works well. Also if you have stubborn dirty areas they can be pressure washed.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the size of your garage and how much work it will take to prep the floor. Every garage is different and unique. Call or email me and I will come to you and give you a quote.
